Service updates for tenants – Summer Community Link newsletter

Please read Link Housing’s latest service updates for tenants below, that were included in the Summer edition of our tenant newsletter, CommunityLink.

Link Housing continues to run as a COVID Safe business. We are following social distancing and health guidelines at both our offices.

While our offices are open, we still ask that you contact us by phone, email or through our website for help. If you need to visit one of our offices, please contact us first on 9412 5111.

Holiday period service and hours

Both Link Housing offices will be closed on Friday 25 December, Monday 28 December and Friday 1 January (public holidays). However, tenants reporting urgent repairs can still call us on 9412 5111. Over the holiday period, Link Housing will make sure that we remain open, with a smaller group of staff continuing to work through and available to help you. We ask our tenants to please be patient with our staff during this period.

Goodbye to Christine

After ten-and-a-half years with Link Housing, Housing Manager, Christine decided it was time to retire to spend more time with her family. We thank Christine for her dedicated client service, endless compassion, and everything she has done for tenants, co-workers and Link Housing. If you live in one of our social housing properties and have a change in Housing Manager, we will let you know by mail, or email if you have requested email only communication. You can contact your Housing Manager to talk about anything to do with your tenancy.

Updated Repairs Fact Sheet

As part of our continuous improvement plan, we have updated our Repairs Fact Sheet, so it is easier for tenants to know how to report a repair issue.

Income Review letters

We recently sent letters to our Social Housing tenants about income reviews for next year (2021). As announced earlier in the year, we put our income reviews on hold for 2020 due to COVID-19 and to support our tenants during this challenging year. We will restart our twice-yearly income
reviews in 2021 with any adjustments to your rent taking effect on 1 February 2021. If you have any questions about this letter or the documents that you are asked to return to us, please give us a call on 9412 5111.

Water charging update

As mentioned in our last tenant newsletter, Link Housing is reviewing water charges for tenants in line with our Water Charging Policy. Please look out for these letters which will tell you any changes to your water rates. Please call us on 9412 5111 if you have any questions.
