Service updates for tenants – Spring

Please read our latest service update for tenants below. This includes new or updated information about home visits, income and rent, water charging and the Tenant Satisfaction Survey 2020.

We are a registered COVID Safe business and we are following social distancing and health guidelines in line with COVID Safe practices at both our West Ryde and Chatswood offices.

While our offices are open, we still ask that you contact us by phone, email or through our website for help. If you need to visit one of our offices, please contact us first on 9412 5111.

Home visits

For your safety, Link Housing stopped tenant Home Visits during the peak of COVID-19. Our Housing Managers have started Home Visits again. Your Housing Manager will call you first to see if you are comfortable with a visit and if you’d like them to wear masks or other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Your income and rent

As promised by our CEO in March 2020, Link Housing will not include Coronavirus supplements paid by the Government directly to individuals in your rent calculations. In addition, we put our annual income reviews on hold for 2020. These actions are to support the community during this challenging time.

For 2021, Link Housing will restart our twice yearly income reviews. Our Income Review team will be in touch with tenants soon to prepare for the first income review of 2021, which will take place January-March. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Water charging service updates for tenants

For tenants who transferred to Link Housing on 3 December 2018 as part of the Social Housing Management Transfer (SHMT) program, you will soon receive a letter with an important update about your water charges . For all other tenants there is no change. You can find out more about how Link Housing calculates your water charges by visiting the Your rent and water page.

Tenant Satisfaction Survey 2020

Residents that transferred to Link Housing on 3 December 2018 as part of the SHMT, are invited to complete a Tenant Satisfaction Survey to tell us how you feel about our services and how we can improve. The Survey has been sent to you by the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA) NSW on behalf of Link Housing.
