In each issue of our tenant newsletter, Community Link we introduce one of Link Housing’s team members to help you get to know us a bit better. In this issue we let you meet Development team Project Manager, Jonathon. Jonathon has over 20 years of national and international experience working in both construction and property development fields.
How long have you been at Link Housing?
I had the pleasure of starting at Link housing in February, and it’s been a very interesting year so far!
What does your role involve? I assist our Chief Development Officer, Paul Hunt, in the management of our property development portfolio. We know there is a shortage of safe, secure and affordable housing and it’s part of my role to establish a pipeline of new developments of appropriate housing to meet the demand.
What are you proud of professionally?
I am proud to have worked on some significant development projects. However, more than that, I value the opportunities to develop and mentor the people I have led as part of my teams. I enjoy helping them harness and grow their skills to flourish and be the best they can be in their careers.
What do you enjoy about working here?
I like the culture of the organisation. There is a lot of great collaboration and sharing ideas between staff, management, partners and clients. Link Housing is also continuing to grow as an organisation so that it can provide better services to more clients, so that’s exciting to be a part of.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Netflix, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, spending time with family and Netflix, did I mention Netflix!!
