Link Housing Wins Big in Communicator Awards 2019

May 14, 2019

Link Housing is thrilled to announce it has won an Award of Distinction for Corporate Communications in the Communicator Awards 2019.

The Communicator Awards is a leading global awards program founded 25 years ago to recognise the very best in marketing and communications. Each year, the awards receives over 6,000 entries, stressing the achievement of Link Housing’s success.

Last year, Link Housing underwent rapid growth, doubling our tenancy management and staff numbers. It was decided that with such significant expansion, we had to ensure our new tenants and staff felt as integral to the organisation as existing tenants and staff.

As a result, we decided to rebrand and, in particular, to refresh our communications strategy. We consulted with NSW’s Family and Community Services (FACS) whose many tenants were being transferred to our management. We developed content that was simple, relevant and timely to ensure that new tenants felt supported throughout the transfer to Link Housing. We also highlighted Link Housing’s warm brand voice and supportive personality; characteristics we strive to reflect in all our interactions with clients and tenants.

Importantly, we also spoke with a wide range of our stakeholders to ensure that they were all kept abreast of changes and provided with the necessary information to support our tenants. This included:

  • Our Tenant Advisory Group, a forum open to all tenants to allow them to provide feedback on Link Housing services and policies
  • Various community groups such as churches, medicals professionals and social workers
  • Councils
  • Relevant NSW government departments
  • Our partners.

Within the rebranding, we also invested time to update and improve our annual report which was key to our award win. Our annual report allows us to present our audited reports and show our commitment to transparency and good governance. It also gives us the opportunity to communicate our progress toward achieving our goals and charitable mission over the year to our key stakeholders – our staff, members, tenants, partners, government and the wider community.
